RYE ROAD... (formerly The Git ' R Dunz) |
The four members of Rye Road know exactly what they want to do – take their combined passion and creativity for music and collectively conquer the Independent music industry while living their childhood dreams of a career in music. Having musical influences that range from The Eagles, Alabama, Restless Heart, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Little Texas, and Bon Jovi, just to name a few, their homegrown Florida version of “Red Dirt Country Rock” music – which they describe as “Wanted Dead or Alive” meets “Sweet Home Alabama” – is certainly catching the ears of Music fans in Florida and the world wide internet. Chuck Reedy and Daniel Barger began making music together early in their youth and eventually became the proud co-founders of One Night Rodeo – a country act that recently won The Next GAC Star on the GAC Network. Both Chuck and Daniel left the project to pursue other interests which inevitably lead to the formation of a light hearted good time seeking country jam band appropriately called The Git ‘R Dunz. The band eventually joined the forces of Reedy and Barger with One Night Rodeo Alumni Pete Tippett and Pete Tamburin (the brother of current ONR guitar player and songwriter Jack Tamburin.) The Chemistry was immediate and undeniable. The group blazed through 2008 at a break neck pace playing over 200 shows on the west coast of Florida and opening for over 20 National recording artists such as Emerson Drive, Keith Anderson, Craig Morgan, Luke Bryan, and many more. March 2009 brings the highly anticipated release of their first independent CD, a combination of songs written by Reedy and Tamburin. The tracks range from catchy pop mainstream Country to high energy Southern Rock with strong vocal hooks and stadium size drums and guitars. With the bands' freshman effort pending, the guys took the advice of fans and industry insiders to change the name of the band. A month long survey on the bands’ websites and at the bands’ performances allowed the fans to voice their opinion; and it was heard loud and clear. “RYE ROAD”, a name that reflects the group’s music and the band members West Coast Florida roots. “Rye Road is a road in east Manatee County where the youth used to hang out and party when we were younger. Rope swings, bridge jumping, good clean out in the country fun,” said Chuck Reedy. As they prepare to further their venture into the world of country music, the members of RYE ROAD are grateful for the warm reception they’ve received and plan to continue building upon that fan base with a 2009 performing schedule that looks even busier than 2008!
